It lies on top of a hill at the height of 652 metres above sea level between the valleys of the Tennacola and Salino streams. The exceptional panoramic position of the town lets one’s gaze wander from the not far-off Sybilline Mountains (called the blue mountains) to the sharp outline of Monte Conero on the Adriatic coast. monuments. The Sferisterio spectacular opera
season which takes place in August is
of sure artistic and cultural interest.
